Charlotte House has been a Springfield, Illinois design icon for over 30 years. This central Illinois native graduated from Ray-Vogue, the oldest art and design school in the Midwest in 1969. Following her graduation she worked as a designer in a furniture store in Springfield, focusing her work on residential projects. Afterwards, she taught interior design courses at Lincoln Land Community College for 12 years, at the same time designing and buying for the only contemporary furniture store in town. She is NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) and CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) certified.
